Our Investment in Paygentic

Posted: 23 Oct 2025

We are delighted to partner with Susan O’Neill and Sam Alarco Cantos and announce our investment in Paygentic, the platform rebuilding payments infrastructure for AI-native businesses. MiddleGame Ventures led the $2M pre-Seed round alongside Anamcara Capital, Aperture, Alan Morgan (Chairman at Adfisco), Angel Invest, Tech Operators and strategic angels.

Agentic applications and AI-native businesses have continued to proliferate, driven by the unlock of foundation models, and are expected to drive $1.3T in enterprise value by 2032. However, billing and payments infrastructure has failed to keep up. AI-native businesses are constrained by today’s rigid and clunky payment solutions initially established to support fixed monthly SaaS fees. As such, they are leaving revenue on the table, unable to benefit from the upside of dynamic pricing, and in many cases are leaving themselves overexposed to potential downside risks.

Founded in 2025, Paygentic provides an all-in-one payments stack designed specifically for AI-native and agent-driven business models. Paygentic transforms agents actions and ‘work’ into revenues by providing businesses with a highly flexible and modular toolkit. A toolkit which reflects how AI products and AI-native businesses actually work. The platform combines billing, payments, and merchant of record into one agent-first stack that’s quick to launch and easy to scale.

Partner Kanishk Walia shared his thoughts on the investment:

AI-native products are redefining how value is created and delivered, yet legacy billing and payments systems can’t keep up with this complexity. Paygentic has built an agent-first stack that makes it possible to monetize usage, outcomes, and hybrid models at scale — exactly what this new generation of businesses requires. At MiddleGame Ventures, we see Paygentic as foundational infrastructure for the agentic AI economy and are thrilled to support their growth.”
